Joy Pod is excited to have Mr. Kelly working with us on Readers' Theatre.  He will work with each literacy group one day each week.  This work will support many of the outcomes in our Program of Studies.  The focus will be on fairy tales.  We can't wait to show you what we have been doing.

Nature BioBlitz on Monday, April 29th from 1:20-2:20.  We will be heading outside with the challenge of documenting all the nature we can find using ipads.  We are going to see how Calgary's nature stacks up to cities around the world! Calgary will be under a total Bioblitz and compete with cities like Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco and over 100 others in an attempt to document and identify all things wild!

PAINT NITE AT ERIC HARVIE SCHOOL-GR.4 FUNDRAISER FOR YEAR END
Paint Nite on May 9 at 7PM! Great Mother's Day Gift. Available to children (and adults) from age 6 and up. $15 from each ticket goes back to the school and an additional $50 from the venue will be donated on top of that! Snacks and drinks are included in your ticket. Please come and have a fun evening with us. $45/painting

Eric Harvie School Spring Fundraiser 2019
Dear Parents/Guardians, 
This spring we are selling beautiful, locally grown flowers, and plants to help raise money for our programs. Fundraising is always a vital part of ensuring the students have the best year possible. The money raised is used to help cover costs for programs, equipment, resources, and extra-curricular activities. It also takes some of the financial burden off the parents – allowing more kids to participate in activities, such as Artistsin Residence (WP Puppeteers) and school special events (including our Film Festival in June).    
Important Notes:
  • Please ensure customers makes cheques payable to : Eric Harvie School

  • Please try to sell only to your family, friends and close neighbours. (Parents may take order forms to work to collect sales if desired).
  • We do not encourage young students soliciting door-to-door sales for safety reasons.
  • Plants are supplied by DeVry Greenhouses
By purchasing a beautiful plant(s) this spring, not only will you be spreading summer cheer, you will also be supporting an amazing cause! Notices will sent home today Thursday, April 18/19 or April 23/19 and must be returned no later than Monday, May 13/19. All plants ordered will be available for pick up at Eric Harvie School onMay 30 and 31/19 at the office between 1:00 – 4:00 pm. 
We hope that you will see something you like and help support our cause. We couldn't do it without you!
