Joy Pod
"Cardboard Challenge"

Tons of fun!!! It was heart warming to see students engaged in what they were doing, sharing, collaborating, being patient, supportive and all around amazing bunch of students.  Thank you to all the parents/staff who were able to help support Joy Pod in our building of "cozy places" for our stuffed animals.  
Students were able to test their designs and some take aways from students was 
"it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be," 
"my finished design looks nothing like I planned," 
"my design looks better than I thought it was going to be,"
 "next time I would use better tape," and
 "next time I would use stronger tape and more cardboard."   
We have kept students finished designs until next week as we plan to do a couple of things with these amazing ideas and give the students time to share their design with other students in Joy Pod. 

 We look forward to sharing our "Cardboard Challenge" designs soon!

We will continue to collect donations for the Terry Fox foundation until after the Thanksgiving weekend 
(Tuesday, October 9).

READ! READ! READ! Students are encouraged to bring back their Learning Commons books as often as they would like and sign out a new book to take home and enjoy.
