Today in the Joy Pod students worked the whole day in their inquiry group.  This allowed us to focus a number of different things.  We worked on reading and writing, math which included 2d Shapes and 3d Objects and of course our puppets.  Two of the Four groups have finished working on building our puppets and learning how to manipulate it.  The other two groups will have a chance to finish up tomorrow.

‘RIGHT TO PLAY’ ACTIVITY DAYS & TWONIE FUNDRAISER THIS WEEK! PEACE AMBASSADORS PROJECT
Back in January our Grade 4 Peace Ambassadors took part in a Right to Play workshop with an Olympic Athlete from the Right to Play organization. Our young leaders learned how to bring about positive change through play. These games were designed to teach young people around the world about global citizenship, human rights and the importance of play to health and well being. This week, our Peace Ambassadors will be teaching some of these games during our Physical Education time, with the support of Mr. Der and their teachers. They are very excited to share what they have learned! As well, they are working toward a fundraising goal of $900.00 in order to support Right to Play for other students in countries around the globe!
If each Eric Harvie Student were to bring in a toonie this week, we could easily reach that goal! Please consider supporting this valuable experience by sending a toonie in to school with your child any day this week!

The Peace Ambassadors will collect the donations each morning. For more information, please visit Right to Play Website
