This morning all Grade1/2's at Eric Harvie School spent time with "Ryan the farmer "at Twin Valley Farms on a Skype video conference call.  We heard details about the types of farming he does which are growing grain and raising beef cattle, also the variety of equipment he uses to grow crops, how a farm works and the roles all the workers play.

This is in preparation for our Twin Valley Farms field trip on June 19th.  Field trip forms will come
home later next week.




We look forward to seeing you at the Student Led Learning Walk on Thursday, May 23, 6:15-7:30PM. We are excited to share our work with puppets.

ERIC HARVIE SCHOOL RUNNING CLUB
POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT WEEK DUE TO WEATHER
What: Running laps at lunch time with the opportunity to win books and Scholastic nick knacks.

(For example: 50 laps wins you a book, 40 might win you smaller book, 30 might win you a nick knack.)

*The criteria for prizes might be adjusted given that 50 laps (for example) might be way too hard or way too easy. I’ll have to bear this out.*

Who: K-4 inclusive (KG will have to find time throughout their day if they wish to participate)

When: Next Tuesday- Thursday (May 21-23) between 11:45-12:15

Where: On the south side of the field near the fire hall a loop will be set up.

OUR THIRD ANNUAL GLAZED 8 DONUT RACE WILL TAKE PLACE SUNDAY, 
JUNE 2, 2019! 

The Glazed 8 is a race of varying lengths for kids, adults, families, and friends that combine two of the best activities around: running & eating donuts. And, the bonus of the event is that all money raised goes towards our community - specifically, Eric Harvie Elementary School and new this year, Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation. We are in the third year of the event, have donated close to $4000 and eaten nearly 500 donuts and 2500 Timbits!
