Tomorrow is Tamarack and Aspen's day to visit the Central Public Library & Calgary Reads. Please dress for the weather, bring a litter-less lunch, water, and snacks. Students are walking to the library and Calgary Reads. We expect students to be dressed appropriately for being outside (hat, mitts, scarf, snow pants, boots) especially as our Calgary weather changes so quickly. If you have questions or concerns, please email your responsibility teacher. Super important...please be on time :)
On
Friday, March 15th from 10:00-11:30 a.m. you are invited to “The Joy of Play” – Open House where we
will be showcasing some of our work around “play.”
(This
is in place of a traditional Peace Assembly as this format is a better format
to showcase our learning)
Our
“play” learning will be displayed in
the Hub and the Thunder Dome (gymnasium).
Students in Joy Pod will be positioned near their inquiry focus. Our students have been focusing on our
essential question, “How Does Play
Connect Us?” through a healthy living lens, a museum lens and a
science/design thinking lens.
Please
RSVP your child’s responsibility teacher if you will be attending.
We hope you will join us for our celebration of learning!
Friday Wonder Time
Students who are dressed appropriately for Winter Weather will be given the opportunity to go on a community walk during this Friday's Wonder Time. If you do not wish your child to join us on the walk for any reason (e.g. if they will need to be signed out early) , please ensure that your child is aware of this, as their responsibility teacher will likely not be accompanying them on the walk.

Read-A-Thon:Today was DEAR (Drop Everything And Read). Students at different times in the school day paused what they are doing and read. Tomorrow will be student read-a-loud's and Thursday is "Dress your favourite book character," please return picture order forms and money by Wednesday so we can organize students for the pictures on Thursday. All money raised through the "Read-A-Thon" will help to purchase more books for our school library. Happy Reading!
