Joy Pod
Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who made Joy Pod Swimming such a success!
Each of the rooms in Joy Pod had a discussion today about friendship and relationships. We are finding that there have been some friendship fires happening within the Pod. "I can't be friends with you if you are friends with them" type of conversations. We are also having some thoughts that boy/girl relationships are boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. We discussed how we are too young for those and that we can all be "just friends."
Another part of our conversation is that the word "No thank you" or "No I don't like that" in regard to things like hugs, rough play, etc. means "I would like it to stop." We are trying to encourage our friends to share when something does not feel right. We also talked about that it is okay to say "no" and that others should respect that as an answer.
If you would like to continue this conversation with your child we would encourage you to do so.
Winter Sports Day was been rescheduled:
Our annual Winter Sports Day has been postponed until Wednesday, February 13. The day has been rebranded Winter Global School Play Day. We would love to have you join us as a volunteer. The time commitment will be from 11:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. See below for a link to sign up. Thank you.
